JJ White Inc. Donates $10,000 to Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts In The News

PHILADELPHIA – In the wake of last week’s devastating Hurricane in Eastern Texas, people from around the world are finding ways to help. JJ White Inc. is proud to join the relief efforts through a $10,000 donation to the Knights of Columbus’s Disaster Relief Fund.

“It is impossible to see what the people of Texas are going through right now and not be there to help,” said JJ White President James J. White, IV. “In times of disaster, its all hands on deck. We’re proud to do our part.”

The Knights of Columbus have a long history of providing relief in times of disaster. From supporting the families of first responders during the September 11th attacks, to leading multi-million dollar disaster recovery efforts, the Order has been there for those in need.

“When Father McGivney founded this organization in 1882, he did so with the intention of helping those most in need,” said Supreme Knight Carl Anderson. “When our neighbors are left with nothing, Knights are among the first to rush in and help them get back on their feet.”

The current destruction in Texas is a stark reminder of Hurricane Sandy for many in the JJ White Inc. family. The company works heavily throughout New Jersey and many employees call the state home. When Sandy struck, the kindness and generosity exhibited by people aiding relief efforts from around the world was not forgotten.

“We saw people coming together from around the country to help this region when Sandy hit in 2012. We will do whatever we can to give that same effort for the people of Texas,” said White.
