Thank you for your letter of November 3 in regard to your company’s engagement in support of the Irish Memorial at Penn’s Landing and for the package which accompanied your letter.
You and all of the friends of Ireland who helped bring this great memorial to fruition can take pride in your achievement. It is a highly important work of public art, one which captures both the misery which drive so many Irish people from their native land and also the new opportunities which became available to them and their children in the United States.
It was also a pleasure to meet you at the dinner hosted by Bill McLaughlin on 14 November.
