JJ White General Construction

Morrison-Knudsen Corporation

William R. Robison, CO Boiler Project Construction Manager

Dear Mr. White:
The Sunoco/MK CO Boiler Project construction management team would like to extend their appreciation for the admirable performance exhibited by your firm towards the successful completion of the subject work package. Even though the work was unable to be performed as originally scheduled and estimated, due to delays beyond your control, the professionalism and dedication employed by your management team of John Bradley, as Project Manager, Dave Zimmerman as Superintendent, and the conscientious performance of the craft employees, along with the initial efforts of your division Vice President, Ed Armstrong, assured the attainment of both project milestones for the completion of the “T” Tower Foundation and the Type 1-6 Foundations, as well as enabling final project costs to come within a few percentage points of the original estimate.

Even more commendable than cost and schedule performance is J.J. White’s betterment of project safety goals which resulted in the safe completion of the difficult and potentially dangerous work required, such that zero OSHA recordable injuries of first aid incidences were incurred. It is our opinion that this achievement is at least partially attributable to J.J. White’s recent expansion of your corporate safety program, which through the implementation of twice weekly Tool Box Meetings, daily Job Safety Analysis, management oversight and a safety incentive program served to communicate to employees the singular importance of safety, and J.J. White’s commitment to compliance therewith.

In closing, we thank you again for your efforts in contributing to the successful conclusion of the CO Boiler Project and look forward to contacting you in the future as other work becomes available within the Sunoco Delaware Valley Refining Complex.

Very truly yours,
William R. Robison
CO Boiler Project Construction Manager
