Since 1993, JJ White Incorporated has maintained a full-time Corporate Safety and Risk Management Department acting in a loss prevention and loss control coordinating capacity. The department works on a direct and daily basis with field labor and insurance carriers as needed.
JJ White’s safety programs are fully integrated into the company’s management system, and are a part of the overall Plan, Do, Check, Act cycle which allows for continuous improvement opportunities based on specific experience. Through continuous safety training, systems, and procedures, JJ White Inc. has received numerous safety awards and designations, most notably the OSHA VPP Star designation in 2009 (Paulsboro, NJ refinery) which continues through the present day.

During the safety training, our instructor reviewed accident prevention and risk evaluation in the chemical/petroleum industry. The auditorium was packed and he went on to say that during his past career managing a chemical plant in NE Philadelphia, a local company, JJ White Inc., proved him wrong in that accidents in such a high risk environment can be prevented.
