Hand Injury Prevention Plan Safety

Hand Injury Prevention Plan

After the incidents we have sustained at some of the facilities we work, we need to put several preventative measures in place.

During the JSA process identify Hazards that would require a specific type of Glove. Cover body positioning and potential for unseen Hazards.

Normal hand wear is to be a full leather palm high cuff work glove cut level 4.

Tig Gloves are to be worn for Tig welding process ONLY unless discussed with Site Supervision and safetyrep.

DO NOT PUT YOUR HANDS INTO ANY SPOT THAT YOU CANNOT SEE

When there is a possibility of loose insulation jacketing or any type of potential cut hazard, Kevlar gloves must be worn for the task. All sites should have a supply available.
