The Ronald McDonald House located on 38th and Market in Philadelphia, PA has prided itself on being a place of comfort and support for families with seriously ill children. JJ White was brought in to renovate the space where families can wait and enjoy playtime while their family member underwent treatment at the hospital.
The work site could only be accessed through the existing structure which remained open during the renovations. This added difficulty to getting materials delivered and accessing the work site. The crew had to be conscientious of not disturbing the everyday operations of the hospital, and making sure that the project deadlines were being met.
JJ White operated on a flexible schedule, to ensure everyday operations were uninterrupted. The crew worked with the hospital staff to coordinate off-hour deliveries, designate select crane lifts, and manage material handling to assure the project would remain on track.
The project was completed on-time and on-budget in an 8 month time span with zero accidents or incidents recorded. The Ronald McDonald House continues to be a a place of comfort and hope for families with sick children.
