At the center of this achievement is David J. Simpson, a member of Millwright Local Union 219, who has been with JJ White since 2018. Beginning his tenure as a Project Lead at the Conowingo Dam, Dave has played a critical role in guiding field operations and fostering a culture rooted in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
Throughout his career, Dave has remained focused on building strong teams and developing capable leaders. His approach emphasizes placing the right people in the right roles, ensuring that every individual on site contributes to the project’s overall success. For Dave and his team, safety is more than a priority; it is a personal. “My greatest accomplishment in construction is to send everyone home safely”, he shared. Reaching 2 million safe manhours is a direct reflection of that mindset and the discipline it takes to uphold every day.
