Near Miss

When a near miss happens, take the initiative and respond. You may not be as lucky the next time around!

Whether an at-risk behavior or condition becomes a near-miss, an incident or remains a non-event is a matter of luck.

But when a near-miss does happen it’s a learning opportunity;

And taking steps to report and to eliminate or control the circumstances that led up the near-miss will reduce the likelihood of a future injury.

Communicate the Near Miss with all employees as a learning experience to prevent the same type of incident from occurring elsewhere.
