Gold Shovel Standard is a safety certification and rating system for companies that perform, subcontract, or oversee excavation work. Companies that are Gold Shovel Standard certified have policies and procedures related to excavation safety which, when followed, make a certified company unlikely to cause damage to buried infrastructure. More specifically, our policies and procedures have been audited to meet the specific requirements of the Gold Shovel Standard program. We are very proud to have “active” status for the Gold Shovel Standard and look forward to completing many more high quality, safe excavation jobs.
Gold Shovel Standard (GSS) is a nonprofit organization committed to improving workforce and public safety and the integrity of buried infrastructure.
