Employee Spotlight: Kurt Terry In The News

How long have you been with JJ White and what initially attracted you to the company?

I’ve been with JJ White for 8 years now. I like the opportunity to work with multiple different crafts and a variety of people.

What does an average day look like for you?

I wake up 3:30AM and make a 45 minute drive to the refinery. I then go for a 2 ½ mile run before the shift starts at 6:30 where I work for the rest of the day with 4 different crafts.

What is the most important factor in making a large site like BP run smoothly?

I believe the most important thing is communication and building relationships with your team.

What do you think separates JJ White’s team of Site Leaders from the rest?

We make it a complete team effort. The care and dedication to get the job accomplished is done by the entire team.

What is your favorite project that you’ve worked on at JJW?

The TSB/RSB Roof project had lots of logistics involved that made it challenging and rewarding.

What is your biggest accomplishment so far?

I’m proud to say that we’ve grown the manpower from 3 to 23 in my tenure on the site all through the trust, dedication, safety, and relationships this team has formed.
