JJ White HVAC Service Team Completes Two Compressor Replacements at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center
JJ White is proud to announce the successful completion of an HVAC project at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s prestigious New Bolton Center. Our skilled HVAC Team undertook the important task of replacing two compressors in the center’s clinical lab, ensuring the continued efficiency and reliability of their vital systems.
The project, executed with precision and care, involved a comprehensive scope of work to ensure optimal performance of the HVAC system. The key steps of the process included:
- Power Shutdown and Safety Procedures: Power to the unit was shut down and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures were implemented to ensure safety.
- Refrigerant Recovery: Refrigerant was recovered from the existing system to prepare for the replacement.
- Disconnection and Removal: Suction and discharge piping from the old compressors were disconnected, and the compressors were removed from the unit.
- System Cleaning: The piping was thoroughly flushed to remove any debris and contaminants from the system.
- New Compressor Installation: New compressors were installed, and the piping and electrical connections were reattached.
- Component Replacements: Filter driers and contactors were replaced, and suction filters were added if necessary.
- System Charging and Testing: The unit was pulled to proper vacuum levels and charged with new R-22 refrigerant. The power was restored, and the system was monitored to verify proper operation.
- Site Cleanup: The site was cleaned and the team demobilized.
This upgrade was essential for maintaining the high standards of operation required by the New Bolton Center’s clinical lab. JJ White is committed to delivering top-tier HVAC solutions and ensuring that our clients’ facilities operate smoothly and efficiently.
We extend our gratitude to the New Bolton Center for their trust and collaboration on this project, and we commend our HVAC Service Team for their dedication and expertise.
