Mechanical Estimator Join Our Team

Job Purpose:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical construction projects.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope and requirements.
  • Perform material and labor take-offs for piping, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems.
  • Obtain subcontractor and vendor pricing and analyze proposals.
  • Develop cost proposals and detailed bid packages.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify value engineering options.
  • Maintain historical cost data and update estimating databases.
  • Support business development efforts by participating in pre-bid meetings and client discussions.
  • Track market conditions and cost trends that may impact project pricing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and construction workflows.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of mechanical estimating experience in construction.
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed estimates for industrial, commercial, or mechanical projects.
  • Union experience preferred.
