Jim Demes comes to JJ White with forty years of Northeast Refining experience. He was the Executive Director at PES Refinery until it’s closure. Jim had oversight of all Maintenance, Capital Construction, and Turnaround activities in addition to labor negotiations with the Building Trades, USW, and Contractor Associations. He presently holds committee positions with several represented organizations. Jim joined a Executive Leadership Team of industry professionals forming Philadelphia Energy Industries to acquire the Philadelphia Refinery prior to joining J.J. White. Those activities included due diligence, cost planning, capital project requirements, and staffing associated with a purchase and start-up of that magnitude. In addition, Jim’s education includes a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University and numerous accredited leadership programs.
